Auditor General leads three member delegation to attend the 26th WGITA Meeting

A three member delegation led by the Hon’ble Auditor General of Bhutan will be attending the the 26th Working Group on IT Audit (WGITA) Meeting which will be held in Seoul, South Korea from 22nd to 23rd May 2017. The Meeting is being organized by the Bureau of Audit and Inspection, South Korea.

During the two day meeting, there will be presentations on the status of Work Plan 2017-2019 by different Project Team Leaders. It will also present the Handbook on IT Audit and demonstrate electronic concept of IT Handbook. The meeting will be concluded by Country paper presentations by various Supreme Audit Institutions.

The Working Group was created in 1989 to address audit institutions’ challenges in the areas of IT Auditing. The Working Group supports Supreme Audit Institutions in developing knowledge and skills in Information Technology related audits by providing information and at the same time facilitates exchange of experiences and best practices among the audit institutions. The Working Group is chaired by Comptroller & Auditor General of India and it has 46 member countries as of 2016.
