Sixty Auditors leave for ISSAI Implementation Training in New Delhi, India

Sixty Auditors will leave for training programme on International Standards for Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI) to be held from 25th July 2016 to 5th August 2016 at iCISA, New Delhi.

The Royal Audit Authority as one of the members of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) subscribes to ISSAI Compliant and it has signed Statement of Commitment with the INTOSAI Development Initiatives (IDI), based in Norway.

The Hon’ble Auditor General and Deputy Auditors General during the pre-departure briefing (PDB) Session held on 22 July 2016 for the participants highlighted on the objective of the training and expected outcome from the training.

Meanwhile, six mentors from RAA along with 3 from the IDI have already begun the weeklong course design meeting from 18th July at iCISA, New Delhi.

The sixty participants are divided into three groups and shall train on three streams of- Compliance Audit, Financial Audit and Performance Audit. Upon their return the RAA shall conduct ISSAI based pilot audits as per the Statement of Commitment signed between RAA and IDI.

The programme is being funded by the World Bank.
