Quality Assurance Review Workshop

Four officials from Royal Audit Authority are currently attending a week-long workshop on ‘Quality Assurance Review (QAR)’ as a part of Phase II of the IDI’s ISSAI Implementation Initiatives 3i Programme. Krishna P. Adhikari, Sr. Audit Officer from RAA was invited as Resource Person to deliver and facilitate the course, who also helped design the course during an earlier workshop.

A total of 58 participants from 25 countries including three from SAI Bhutan are attending the QAR Workshop being held at Tbilisi, Georgia from 6th to 10th November, 2017. The aim of the workshop is to discuss on the Quality Assurance tools and audits with respect to the relevant ISSAIs that will help to do the quality assurance review. The participants are expected to carry out the Quality Assurance Review for audits conducted by their respective SAI after returning from the workshop.

The RAA’s Research & Quality Assurance Division was created in March 2011 and has been conducting pre-review of the Audit Reports of the RAA. With adoption of ISSAIs at the authoritative standards for RAA and strengthening the RQAD’s capacity, all audits in future, will pass through a stringent QAR process to ensure quality and compliance to ISSAIs.
