Appointment of the new Assistant Auditor General
The Auditor General awarded the ‘Appointment Order upon Promotion’ to Mr. Karma Jambayyang with a simple Tendrel in the Office of the Auditor General, Thimphu on 17 March 2020.
Mr. Karma Jambayyang, Deputy Chief Auditor, has been promoted to the Assistant Auditor General of the Compliance and Outsourced Audit Division (erstwhile Corporation and Financial Institutions Division). He was promoted through the open competition procedure held on 14th February 2020.
Mr. Karma Jambayyang is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) under the membership of CPA Australia. He holds Master of Professional Accounting from James Cooks University, Queensland, Australia and Bachelors of Commerce from Sherubtse College, Tashigang, Bhutan. He has joined the Royal Audit Authority as a Trainee Officer in 2001 through Civil Service Examination.
He has completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Financial Management from the Royal Institute of Management in 2001 and Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IAAS) course from National Academy of Audit and Accounts, Shimla, HP, India in 2008.
Prior appointment to the post of Assistant Auditor General, Karma Jambayyang has been serving the Royal Audit Authority as an officiating head of the same Division.
