The Hon’ble Auditor General of Bhutan conducted the audit awareness and advocacy programmes for MoEA MoIC, Chhukha Dzongkhag and Phuentsholing Drungkhag from 5-11 January 2017. The programmes were attended by officials from respective ministries and agencies including members of the Dzongkhag Rabdey.
The advocacy programmes which started in November 2016 is aimed at helping the public understand the problems at the grassroots level, and to clarify the myths and misconceptions about the RAA, its audit functions, mandates, roles & responsibilities.
The RAA is also taking advantage of such gatherings and making presentations on the currently being implemented initiatives on ISSAIs. The awareness programme has now been conducted for five ministries and six dzongkhags.
