E Mail to the Auditor General of Bhutan

Respected sir,

I am a fellow citizen who has been working and I am concerned of how raa is employing their auditors. Recently I have come across a group of boys, who were talking of getting themselves employed in RAA, looking at their conversation I have overheard that they had dreams of joining RAA but again they have the feeling that they won’t be accepted as they were saying that they are lowly qualified. Again I have heard that one of them had been dreaming and will be hoping to join RAA but this year RAA is going to employ only graduates and PU students. Are all the auditors PU students and graduates, no I don’t think so, 60 % of them are undergraduates and still they are the ones who are hard workers. I think the undergraduates should be given preferences.

Thanking you la

Dear Phuntsho,

Thank you for your mail.

We do given the ideal situation have more qualified people. But as of now we recruit any one referred by RCSC both at graduate and non-graduate level.

Thank you,

Sincerely yours,
Kunzang

Respected sir,

It is the most happy thing to note that the Audit teams of Bhutan are doing well and their works deserve to be rewarding. Till date I have seen and noticed auditors trying to make their work effective, and indeed they work really hard, it’s worth talking about. By the way how are Auditors selected now a day, the graduates are directly appointed as Sr. Auditors but how about appointing undergraduates? What I have heard is that RAA is not going to appoint Undergraduates as they feel that they are less educated. Why? Most of the Auditors are undergraduates and the work really hard as they are the team members and it is their responsibility to work as per their team leaders work plan. If all are graduates then who is going to do the maximum of the work. Its not that I am blaming RAA but I am sharing some of my view points. RIM is producing so many trained undergraduates if I am to select some of the best of Future auditors I will be selecting as per the merit and their dedication towards being Auditors.

With Regards

A fellow citizen

Have just read and indeed printed out the, Joenpar Legso to our home. Statement about the Supreme Audit Institution and the clear vision of the audit function and how it should be used and understood.

Thank you for the clarity of your vision, may it prove a blessing to all who read and understand.

Thank You

The website in addition to good design is a great source of information. I enjoyed going through it greatly. I have now good impression and appreciation of the RAA’s roles and responsibilities in the overall national development in general good governance in particular. Relatively speaking Bhutan’s civil service is well functioning and clean. However the RAA should ever remain vigilant and further enhance the image of public service. A good and uncorrupt environment is fundamental to general well being of the Bhutanese people and nation’s development.
