The Royal Audit Authority (RAA) successfully conducted a one-day Awareness and Experience Sharing Programme with representatives from the 10 empanelled local audit firms on 14 August 2026 at the RAA Conference Hall.
The programme was organized to strengthen audit quality, promote consistency in audit practices, and enhance collaboration between the RAA and empanelled audit firms entrusted with statutory audits of companies, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Religious Organizations (ROs), and other entities.
The key sessions included:
- Sharing of Quality Assurance (QA) Review Findings and common areas for improvement;
- Awareness on the Minimum Audit Examination and Reporting Requirements for CSOs, NGOs, and ROs;
- Updates on regulatory changes and emerging audit requirements, including the outsourcing of compliance audits, GMC statutory audit empanelment, and potential empanelment criteria for subsequent renewal;
- A refresher session on the Code of Ethics, Values, and Professional Conduct; and
- An interactive experience-sharing session, where audit firms discussed practical challenges, best practices, and recommendations to further strengthen the quality of outsourced audits.
The programme reaffirmed the RAA’s commitment to promoting high-quality auditing, fostering professional excellence, and strengthening partnerships with the audit profession in support of transparency, accountability, and good governance in Bhutan.
