Two officials from the Royal Audit Authority (RAA), led by the Joint Auditor General, are attending the XXV International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) beingheld in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from 27 to 31 October 2025.
INCOSAI, the highest decision-making body of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), convenes once every three years. The Congress brings together heads and senior representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from around the world to discuss strategies and innovations that strengthen public sector auditing and accountability.
The XXV INCOSAI, hosted by Egypt’s Accountability State Authority (ASA), marks the 25th edition of this triennial event. A total of 195 full member countries along with 5 associate members and 02 affiliate members were attending the INCOSAI congress.
Key themes of the 2025 Congress include the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in auditing and the role of SAIs in addressing financial and economic crises. The Congress also elects INTOSAI leadership and determines the venue for the next session, expected to take place in 2028.
INCOSAI continues to serve as a vital platform for collaboration among global audit institutions, fostering innovation, transparency, and accountability in public financial management worldwide.
